Virus, spyware, trojan, and more. These are too common these days. Many people are coming to me almost everyday and telling me on fixing their computers and flashdrives because their antivirus won’t detect those pesky viruses. And they often arrive to a decision on reformatting their drive.

In this article I’ll not be tackling yet on how to fix those problems, but will tell you how ( up until my knowledge on viruses ) those viruses do and giving you tips on detecting a virus yourself.

Why AntiVirus won’t work?

Simple, it is because its sometimes you thought it is a virus but its not. Spyware, worms, trojan now a days works almost exactly as a virus. And your antivirus won’t work with some of those (even if you update your AV daily). There are also lots of low profile viruses out there that AV companies don’t know. That’s why they can’t detect the virus.

Why Am I Still Infected Even If My AV Knows Its A Virus?

Most antivirus has a lag time on reading files. So there would be a delay on your AV’s response rate (processing speed can also be a factor). Sometimes or most of the times you click on your unknown programs faster than your AV can read file and give you a report.
